ADAPTIVE EQUIPMENT LENDING LIBRARY
What is the Adaptive Equipment Lending Library?

 

The PLB and the Center for Specialized Services (The Center) are excited to offer a selection of adaptive equipment and sensory items through the Lending Library. The purpose of the Library is to provide timely support to individuals and families, save money and resources, and to "recycle" by repurposing usable equipment that is no longer needed. Items are available on loan to individuals on a trial basis.

 

To be eligible, individuals must be a resident of St. Louis County with a developmental disability and currently active with the St. Louis Regional Office.

 

The Lending Library Offers

 

  • The opportunity to try-out equipment before purchasing
  • Determining the appropriate size of the equipment and if it is a fit for the individual's home
  • Ensuring item's usefulness before purchasing
  • Training and/or fitting from qualified Physical and/or Occupational Therapists
