Description: The Gateway Region YMCA is dedicated to the provision of inclusive, recreational programming for all members of our community. We work hard to meet a need in the community for people with disabilities---they want and need somewhere to go for socialization, and to meet their health, fitness and childcare needs. At the Y, people with disabilities are included in activities, classes and programs, along with everyone else. They are a valued part of the YMCA community. PLB funded services include: Support staff, as needed, in existing YClub sites (Before and after school programs) Support staff, as needed, to ensure inclusion during all summer camps Integrated Fitness Program ( An individualized fitness program, providing 1:1 support for people who have developmental disabilities, to help with the achievement of health and fitness goals, in an inclusive environment.)
