The purpose of the Fixed Assets (FA) core module is to track physical inventory of PLB & agencies funded by PLB. This module is responsible for processing the depreciation of PLBs inventory and track non-depreciable PLB and agency inventory. This module will receive data through the Units of Service module for agencies and from the Accounts Payable module for PLB operations and posts to General Ledger.
Record and manage additions, transfers, disposal of property and other property inventory changes

Currently: Information is entered into two systems; Accounts Payable and FA for PLB inventory and Units of Service and FA for agencies.
Proposed: A single
process where asset is captured in process of Units of Service and Accounts
Payable and then automatically sent to FA.
Proposed: Search
by any field, sort by multiple fields.
Proposed: Would
like the following information available on a first screen (ID#, Acquisition
Date, Description, Project/ Component, Cost, Location, Fiscal Year).

Proposed: The FA module requires identification of
where the asset is located. The module
will have a field identified as asset location. As with all fields in all modules, this field will be sort-able
and searchable. In addition, the field
will be alpha numeric.
Develop interface from Units
of Service
Proposed: The FA module will interface
and receive agency inventory data from the Units of Service module.
