Future Plan Development

This area will be reviewed independently of the software recommendation.

All information needed for paying an agency for services provided is currently data entered by PLB staff. We are interested at this time in having agencies electronically transfer the data to PLB, which would eliminate the duplicate data entry. The information received from the agency will integrate with the Core, optional and custom modules.

The current main flow of data is as follows:

• Once a month PLB prints off invoices and mails them to agencies. These invoices are for next month’s services

• PLB receives invoices for services provided by agencies each month by mail, fax or delivery

• Staff data enters information into AS/400

• Payment to agencies for services provided, there are two payment runs per month

The proposed main flow of data is as follows:

• Secure extranet shows real-time agency statistics by consumer and by agency online

• Information comes from SQL database

• Agency transfers information to PLB electronically (daily, weekly or monthly)

• Payment to agencies for services provided, there are two payment runs per month

While PLB will strive for 100% agency participation in this program, we realize that the current process of invoice processing will need to be maintained.
