Capabilities
Each module should provide the following capabilities:
- Will
be designed to work with Microsoft BackOffice
- Will
be designed to provide for the DATA WAREHOUSE concept including loading
historical data from the current system; automated archival of on-going
maintenance; and retrieval capabilities of all historical and archived
data
- Integration
with Microsoft SQL Server 7.0 and upgradeable to SQL 2000
- Should
maximize online, real-time user maintained tables for system control and
decision-making. Codes will be
easily definable and selected by point and click technology.
- Common
modules should support electronic funds transfer by integration with the
SQL Server 7.0 database
- Fields
on all screens should be automatically formatted (e.g. dates should have
slashes, social security number should have dashes, etc)
- Whenever
possible, data entry screens should utilize point and click lists or drop
down lists for intuitive data entry
- End-user
friendly ad-hoc queries and reporting features should include multiple
field selection, sort, multi-level totals and numeric calculations. Output selection to choice of printers,
files, screens
- Should
provide complete on-line manuals and context sensitive help screens
- Multi-level
administrator defined security
